Original LÖWE® History
Walther Schröder developed his first anvil pruner in 1923 and logically named it the "Model 1". It incorporated a drawing blade on a fixed anvil, which has been a company design principle since. The Original LÖWE Model 1 cut far more easily than the conventional cutters of that era and now.
The cutters were pleasantly lightweight and were the first pruners to have replaceable wearing parts. When necessary, users could replace the blade, anvil, spring, and bearing. Spare parts have always available, even for Original LÖWE cutters 100 years old.
